I am a member of the Glasgow Parallelism Group and the Embedded, Networked and Distributed Systems research groups in the School of Computing Science at the University of Glasgow.
My research interests are in the broad area of scalable reliable parallel and distributed systems. I am working in the RELEASE project that aims to improve the scalability of Erlang/OTP onto commodity architectures with 100,000 cores. I concentrate on scalable persistent storages for Erlang, i.e. Mnesia, CouchDB, Riak and Cassandra. I have measured the scalability and availability of Riak on the Kalkyl Cluster (find more). My another major research focus is to investigate the scalability limits of distributed Erlang. I have developed a benchmarking tool (DE-Bench) to measure the scalability of distributed Erlang. Results are published at the Thirteenth ACM SIGPLAN workshop on Erlang.
Master of Science (M.Sc) with distinction in Advanced Internet Application at the School of Mathematical and Computer Sciences at Heriot-Watt University.
My master's thesis was a front-end for knowledge 2.0 platform under supervision of Dr. Hans-Wolfgang Loidl.

In this project, web 2.0 technologies are used for designing and implementing a front-end for a scientific publication platform. The platform supports submitting publication files and appropriate meta data, editorial board, double blind referee, semantic ranking and role base user management. The project is developed by Spring framework on J2EE platform.
