Call for Affiliated Workshops

General Information

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit proposals for workshops on topics related to design, implementation, evaluation and deployment of computer systems.

The purpose of the workshops is to provide participants a forum for presenting novel ideas, and to discuss in a small and interactive atmosphere.

Proposals should include:

  • The name and the preferred date of the proposed workshop.
  • A very brief cv of the organizers.
  • A short summary of the topic, its scope and significance, and including a discussion on the relation with the EuroSys topics.
  • A description of past versions of the workshop, including dates, organisers, submission and acceptance counts, attendance (or indication the workshop is new).
  • Procedures for selecting papers, plans for dissemination (ranging from, for example, special issues of journals, to just position statements distributed to the participants), and the expected number of participants.

Please expect a confirmation of the reception of your proposal. We've had some problems with the email address for workshops, so if you did not receive this confirmation please resend the proposal.


The EuroSys organization provides:

  • Link from EuroSys and Workshop web sites.
  • Management of registration and hotel reservation for participants.
  • Setup of meeting space, and related equipment.
  • Coffee-breaks and workshop dinner arrangements.

The workshop organization must take care of:

  • Workshop publicity, call for papers, and submission and review process.
  • Providing a brief description of the workshop for inclusion on the EuroSys web page.
  • Scheduling workshop activities in collaboration with the EuroSys local organizers.

The main responsibility of organising a workshop goes to the chairperson(s) of the workshop, financial issues included. The format of each workshop is to be determined by its organisers.
