TPHOLs 2001 is working in collaboration with CHARME 2001, and we are pleased to be able to offer a reduced rate to people attending both conferences. We have supplied two registration forms, one for those attending TPHOLs only and one for those attending both conferences. Please ensure that you fill in the correct form. Those planning to attend both TPHOLs and CHARME need to fill in a CHARME registration form as well, and to pay the fee for each conference separately.
Registration for TPHOLs is limited to a maximum of 108 participants, so please register early to avoid disappointment.
The TPHOLs registration fees are as follows:

These prices include proceedings, the conference dinner in the magnificent Playfair Library Hall - one of the city's finest classical interiors, an excursion to the historic Traquair Castle -"the oldest inhabited and most romantic house in Scotland" - and refreshments during programme breaks. If you wish to book extra places at the conference dinner or on the excursion the cost is as follows:

Those registering for both conferences should note that they are asked to supply information about extra tickets on the TPHOLs registration form only.
The price does not include the cost of accommodation. We have a list of hotels here which have reserved rooms for delegates for the period of the conference. These rooms are being held until the 1st of August after which they will be offered to the general public. Since the conference is the week after the Edinburgh Festival we advise you to book early, especially if you intend to arrive in advance for the last days of the festival itself. The accommodation page also includes a list of Edinburgh guest houses although we have not reserved rooms at any of these.
The price also does not include the cost of lunch. TPHOLs is taking place very close to the centre of Edinburgh and there are a number of excellent, reasonably priced restaurants and other places to eat near the venue.
We are also planning to offer a conference T-shirt. We will not be asking for money in advance but would appreciate it if you could let us know on the registration form if you would be interested, so we can estimate numbers.
