Computational Sustainability: Computational Methods for a Sustainable Environment, Economy, and Society
Theodoros Damoulas, Cornell University
In this talk I will give an overview of a large NSF Expedition Grant led by Cornell University in an effort to define the field of Computational Sustainability.
I will introduce and discuss some of the unique computational problems and characteristics that motivate this novel direction, the relationship with existing computing fields and the potential impact on ecology, society and economy.
