[ Inference Seminar ] Sequential Monte Carlo and Capacitive Sensors
Simon Rogers
In this talk I'll describe some recent work in collaboration
with the HCI group on using Bayesian Inference to detect a users input
and corresponding (un)certainty from capacitive sensing arrays. As
distributions are generally intractable and Inference is required in
real time, particle filters seem like a good option. I'll provide a
brief introduction to the principle of particle filters and then talk
about the particular algorithms used here. I might also risk a demo
or two.
