Department of Computing Science, University of GlasgowBCS IRSG SUPPORT for ESSIR 2007
Thanks to the generous sponsorship of BCS-IRSG , ESSIR 2007 will contribute to the expenses of a number of BCS-IRSG members attending ESSIR 2007 by awarding a number of partial travel grants. Each grant will come in the form of a flat contribution which could be used to pay anything related to ESSIR 2007.
In order to apply for the grant, an applicant should send an e-mail to the address essir2007-organisers (AT) dcs.gla.ac.uk with subject "ESSIR 2007 BCS-IRSG grant application" and containing the following information:
- Personal data of the applicant (Name, Age, Organisation, Post of employment);
- BCS-IRSG membership number; Visit the BCS-IRSG membership enquiry page, if you are a BCS-IRSG member and would like to retrieve your membership number;
- A short article (up to 750 words in MS word or text format), describing the applicant's research, or a project that he/she is working on or a conference that she/he has recently attended. The bursary will be awarded, subject to the article being acceptable to the BCS-IRSG Informer Editor. All accepted articles will be published in the Informer (see this link for previous editions of Informer, and examples of articles), and
- A list of up to five main publications (this can be attached as a .pdf file)
All applications should be received by 27 May 2007.
Notifications that the grant has or has not been awarded will be e-mailed to applicants by 11 June 2007.
