Yahoo! Research Support for ESSIR 2007
Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Yahoo! Research, ESSIR 2007 will contribute to the expenses of a number of full-time students attending ESSIR 2007 by awarding a limited number of partial travel grants. Each grant will come in the form of a flat contribution which could be used to pay anything related to ESSIR 2007.
In order to apply for the grant, a student applicant should send an e-mail to the address essir2007-organisers (AT) dcs.gla.ac.uk with subject "ESSIR 2007 Yahoo! Research grant application" and containing the following information:
- Personal data of the applicant (Name, Age, Organisation, Degree for which the applicant is studying, Name and e-mail address of Supervisor);
- A one-page CV + list of up to five main publications (this can be attached as a .pdf file), and
- A one-page statement of why the applicant should receive partial funding support.
Proof of full-time student status should also be separately sent, in the form of an e-mail by the student's supervisor who certifies the full-time student status (as at the date of the application) of the applicant, and sent to the address essir2007-organisers (AT) dcs.gla.ac.uk
All applications should be received by 27 May 2007.
Notifications that the grant has or has not been awarded will be e-mailed to both student and supervisor by 11 June 2007.
