Research Festival 2005
During July and August of 2005 The University of Glasgow will play host to some of the foremost names in the Computing Science research community.
Workshops and talks, lectures and informal research meetings, as well as a wide range of social events, will help to create a lively research atmosphere in the Department. The event will bring together researchers from other disciplines as well, and thus promote interdisciplinary research and cross fertilisation of ideas.
Professor Muffy Calder, Head
of the Department, said "The Festival
will
be stimulating and fun. The last festival, ten years ago, made a huge
impact on the Department. We are delighted to be able to host a
festival again this year and we all look forward to a summer of great
Computing Science "
