Bayesian System Identification for Biological Pathway Modelling| Dr. Vladislav Vyshemirsky | | Professor Mark Girolami |
Vladislav is working on the 'Bayesian System Identification for Biological Pathway Modelling' project funded by Microsoft Research within 'Modelling and Predicting in Biology and Earth Sciences 2006' programme. The goal of the project is to create a software platform for Bayesian Inference over mechanistic models of the biochemical systems. The resulting product, named BioBayes will be available from http://www.dcs.gla.ac.uk/BioBayes. The software accepts biochemical models defined using SBML format, and allows users to infer plausible parameter values for such models using data observed in a laboratory. The project also aims to implement a methodology for ranking alternative biochemical models by the evidence extracted from observed data.
