2nd IRMP-Conference - Conference Summary

5-6 May 2011, Glasgow (UK)

The 2nd Conference on Integrated Risk Management Planning took place on the 5th and 6th May 2011. More than 50 registered delegates used this excellent opportunity to meet other researchers in their area to disseminate and discuss research findings in the field of Integrated Risk Management Planning, Emergency Planning and Fire Safety Management.

Fire Related Research and Developments (RE10)

17 November, Moreton-in-Marsh (UK)

Two posters will be presented at this year's conference. The first poster titled "E-ProBuild: Evaluation of Fire Prevention and Protection Activities for Commercial, Public and Heritage Buildings" will describe the project and the recent progression.
The second poster (Evaluating the Fire Risk for Heritage Sites to improve local Risk Assessment) focuses on the heritage related research of the project.

International Systems Safety Conference 2010

30 August - 03 September 2010, Minneapolis (US)

A paper on the use of Web Service Architectures and Advanced Simulation Tools in the Emergency Services will be presented at the International Systems Safety Conference 2010 in Minneapolis (US). The paper describes the work on threats and benefits of information sharing in Emergency Planning Systems as well as the development of an early prototype using web-services for fast and flexible application development.

Interflam 2010

5-7 July 2010, Nottingham

A poster including a 6-pages paper was accepted for Interflam 2010 Conference (5-7 July 2010) in Nottingham. The presentation will summarise the research work of the project and thereby especially focusing on Integrated Risk Management Planning and Information Sharing within the decision-making process. The poster and the paper will be included in the conference proceedings.

Fire Risk Management Conference

14th April 2010, Loughborough University

As part of this project, Loughborough University hosted a one day conference for both academics and practitioners who wished to keep up-to-date with the latest fire risk management research and developments and interact with other active contributors to this important area. More than 60 delegates attended the conference and listened to interesting talks on the following topics:
