Getting to Glasgow

Rail: Glasgow is served by two stations - Glasgow Central and Glasgow Queen Street. Both stations are a short taxi or subway ride from the University.

Air: The most convenient airport for the University is Glasgow International with regular flights throughout the UK and Europe. A taxi from the airport will cost around GBP 15. There is also a frequent bus service from the airport into the centre of town which costs about GBP 6 return. From some destinations, it may be cheaper to fly to Glasgow Prestwick. However, this is about 40 miles from Glasgow and so either requires a train to Central station or an expensive (GBP 40ish) taxi.

Subway: The closest subway station to the University is Hillhead. Those arriving at Queens Street (or coming on the bus from the airport) should get the subway from Buchanan Street, those arriving at central should get it from St. Enoch. Subway journeys cost GBP 1.

A more comprehensive guide to getting to the University can be found here.
