Active Project Team Members Professor Stephen Brewster is a lecturer in the Department of Computing Science at the University of Glasgow, UK. His main research interests are Human-Computer Interaction and sound. Philip Gray is a lecturer in the Department of Computing Science of the University of Glasgow. His main research interest is in UIST (user interface software technology), especially software and notational tools for user interface construction. Dr. Joanna Lumsden was the research assistant responsible for the final evaluation and documentation of the Audio Toolkit and associated guidelines. Her main research interests are in usability, software engineering, and the evaluation of user interface development tools.Past Project Team Members Murray Crease was the PhD student investigating the use of sound at the human-computer interface. He was principally responsible for implementing our toolkit of multimodal, resource sensitive widgets using structured non-speech sounds, earcons. Murray has since been awarded his Ph.D. Dr. Ashley Walker, the previous RA on the project, is interested in perception and agent-environmental interaction.
