WIRUL '96
WIRUL '96.
2nd Workshop on Information Retrieval, Uncertainty and Logic
12 July 1996
Hosted by the IR Group at the Department of Computing Science, Glasgow, Scotland
Organised and chaired by Fabio Crestani, University of Padua and Mounia Lalmas, University of Glasgow
The proceedings of the first workshop are also
available.
This booklet contains the Proceedings of WIRUL 96, the Second
Workshop on Information Retrieval, Uncertainty and Logic, that
was held in Glasgow on the 12th July 1996.
The interest shown in last year's Workshop motivated us to organise a second event this year. The idea of the
WIRUL Workshop is to compare and discuss the use of logics and
uncertainty theories to model information retrieval systems.
Most of the work presented here is "work-in-progress"; as such this
year proceedings only contain "extended abstracts". We encourage
the readers to contact the various authors for more details about
their work.
