DDR-2012: Diversity in Document Retrieval

Call for Papers

We invite submissions of original research papers (6 pages) and position papers (4 pages) in the general area of diversity in document retrieval. Potential topics include (but are not limited to):

  • Evaluating of diverse search results
  • Measuring the ambiguity of queries
  • Measuring query aspects importance
  • Applications:
  • Product & review diversification
  • Opinion and sentiment diversification
  • Diversifying Web crawling policy
  • Graph analysis for diversity
  • Summarisation
  • Legal precedents & patents
  • Diverse recommender systems
  • Diversifying in real-time & news search
  • Diversification in other verticals (image/video search etc.)
  • Presentation of diverse search results

Submission Instructions

Submissions should report new (unpublished) research results, or ongoing research. Both technical paper submissions (upto 6 pages including references) and position papers (upto 4 pages including references) will be orally presented. All paper submissions must be written in English following the ACM option 2 templates. Submissions should not be anonymised.

Papers should be submitted through the Workshop's EasyChair submission system, which will open at least one month before the submission deadline.

Important Dates

  • 5th 12th December: Extended deadline - papers due
  • 10th January: Notification of Acceptance
  • 17th January: Camera-Ready papers due
  • 12th February: DDR-2012 Workshop
