Teaching

My primary teaching commitment in the department is to the MSc in Information Technology. 

I regularly lecture on the Java Programming modules Introductory Programming and Further Programming.  This year I am also lecturing on the Internet Technology module.  In previous years I have lectured on the module Human Computer Interaction.

Advising

My drop in time for advisees is Wednesday afternoon between 2.00 and 4.00.  Advisees may come and see me then without an appointment.  My advisees are always welcome to email to make appointments for other times.

Other academic interests

I am interested in the use of web technologies to enhance the experience of learning mathematics.  I have developed a web site related to the mathematics of symmetries.  I am currently working on a web site related to financial mathematics specifically related to debt.
