Frances Cooper

I am a computer science PhD student at the University of Glasgow (started October 2015). My supervisor is Dr David Manlove and I am a member of the Formal Analysis, Theory and Algorithms group (FATA). My research is in the area of Algorithms and Complexity. My CV is available here.

Education

I hold a degree in Mathematics from the Open University (First Class Hons) and a masters in Software Development from the University of Glasgow (Distinction; Class Prize; Grace Hopper Prize).

I have a Diploma of Higher Education in Natural Sciences (Physics) from the Open University.

In my spare time I like to study Mandarin and have Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) level 2 proficiency. In Summer 2015, I obtained a scholarship from the Confucius Institute to attended a two-week Language and Culture Exchange at Nankai University in Tianjin, China.
