Lewis M. Mackenzie

I'm a senior lecturer at the Department of Computing Science, University of Glasgow.

Research

My research interests are in machine architectures and the performance modelling of communication systems. My recently published work has involved the modelling of traffic patterns in a variety of scenarios from regular wormhole-switched multi-computer interconnects to mobile ad-hoc wireless networks (MANETs).

Recently I was a Principal Investigator on  PGPGrid (The Pepper's Ghost Productions Grid Project), a collaboration with EPCC and Pepper's Ghost Productions Ltd, a computer generated animation company. My primary interest here was in performance aspects of practical Grid computing.

Teaching

I teach mainly in the areas of data communications and computer architecture. My courses in  2010-2011 are:

Advanced Networks and Communications 4

Systems and Networks (M)

Computer Systems 2 (Faster Route)
