I am currently a Research Assistant in the Department of Computing Science at the University of Glasgow.

I am involved mainly in teaching and conducting research in Human Computer Interaction (HCI) and belong to the Glasgow Interactive Systems Group (GIST). In particular, a small group of us belong to the Multimodal Interaction Group (MIG) and we specialise in studying how using our multiple human senses (sight, hearing, touch for example) can improve the way we interact with computers.

My PhD thesis investigated how what we feel and hear when we touch a virtual texture can affect the way in which we will interact with virtual objects and virtual environments. You can download my thesis in PDF format here.

I am currently involved in the MATCH project which is investigating mobile technology and interaction for health care in the home setting.

You can visit the Glasgow MATCH Project web pages soon here.
