Problems in the general areas of statistical learning and pattern recognition; applications relating to structure discovery and summarization of temporal sequences, and video information retrieval.

Projects

Football -- Discover temporal structures from multimedia sequences.
Virtual Play Field -- Cartoonize the football game by marking players' tracks as well as interactions to facilitate game understanding.
Computing Psychology -- Identify and quantify emotional states such as happiness and sadness by surveillant video
