I am currently a 3nd year postgraduate research student at the University of Glasgow, pursuing a PhD by Research in the field of Information Retrieval. My thesis revolves around the application of user generated content (e.g. Twitter, Wikipedia, Blogs) to improve news vertical search.
Recently, I have been working in the area of crowdsourcing. I have run the evaluation for the TREC 2010 Blog track top news stories identification task as well as many other applications for crowdsourcing.
