Truth Table Exercise

Instructions for using this exercise

  1. The Frame contains a Truth Table and a Circuit Diagram for a randomly generated circuit. Different logic gates will be placed at each position each time the exercise is attempted. The type of gate can be determined from the diagram, and from the TruthTable column headers.
  2. Each line details the inputs to each gate. The Circuit Diagram shows which columns in the table correspond to the output from each gate. Your task is to complete the outputs from each gate, and so complete the truth table for every line.
  3. Enter a '0' or a '1' in each table cell to create the solution. Note that any input except a '0' or a '1' will be rejected by the program.
  4. If any cells are left blank, a warning message will appear. Please complete all cells before pressing the Submit button.
  5. Ensure that before pressing submit, no cells in this table are highlighted / selected. The program will not recognise input as complete until the focus has moved away from the cell. If a cell is still selected, a warning message will appear.
  6. Selecting a checkbox will cause the solution to that line (and only that line) to appear in the program output text area.
  7. Use the Scroll Bars to view the bottom lines of the TruthTable if these are not immediately visible.
  8. Use the Next Circuit button when finished to generate another exercise.
