Half Octave Gaussian Pyramid
Pyr=half_octave(Image,levels,init)

Image = input image
levels = no. of levels of pyramid
init = Intrinsic blurring in Image
Pyr = Cell datastructure with Gaussian pyramid levels

Laplacian filter (new file, don't use the file in your browser's cache!)
Lap_Pyr=laplacian(Pyr,masksize,sigmas)

Pyr = Cell datastructure with Pyramid levels
masksize = Size of Laplacian mask
sigma = Sigma of Laplacian
Lap_Pyr=Cell datastructure with Laplacian pyramid levels

Mask
M=mask(siz,sigma,X,Y,type,sigma2);

siz = Size of filter
sigma = Sigma of filter
X = Horizontal subpixel offset
Y = Vertical subpixel offset
type = type of filter ('lap' for this assessed exercise)
sigma2 = Sigma of excitor DoG subfield if generating DoG filter.
