The images included here are traces gathered with the trace-generating facilities described in a previous report. These have been augmented with the ability to mark the trace when specific events take place. The application and VM configuration used here are also described in a previous report.

Below two groups of traces are included. One with traces generated by the stop-the-world M&S GC and one with traces generated by the M&C GC. The application was the same for both of them, therefore comparisons between the two algorithms can be done by these traces.

Each trace contains one line (well, each "line" is 2 pixels high) for every End Young GC event. The exception to this is the card table traces that also include a line for every Start Young GC event. In every trace, the beginning of an old generation is explicitly denoted with an obvious horizontal line, which is marked with the number of the old GC.
