This project involves a detailed reanalysis of the official reports into the Ueberlingen mid-air collision and the runway incursion at Linate. Both of these accidents resulted in substantail loss of life. Hence, it is important to learn as much as possible from them.

The reanalysis builds on the work of the ANSV and the BFU. In particular, additional recommendations are identified that relate to the future provision of Air Traffic Management services.

The ultimate aim of the project is to act as an information resource and a validation mechanism for EUROCONTROL's Strategic Safety Action Plan (SSAP).
