Hi Patrick, 

You asked for an update on our progress.

Myself and Jose (at Edinburgh) have been working on this part-time. Ciaran produced a model 
that I have been experimenting with, the latest version of which is attached.

Jose has been implementing a greedy algorithm based on his previous work, to extend it for task 
variants and arbitrary problems. I’m going to implement simulated annealing. We then intend to 
integrate the three solution methods to enable us to do compare them empirically, and validate 
solutions on a case study provided by another researcher at Edinburgh.
