dealing with displays it is conventional to assume that

are bytes holding numbers in the range 0 to 255.

0 Is
assumed to be black
|

1 Is
assumed to be white or maximum brightness of any given

colour.
|

|
For
multicolour displays with 3 colour components, the
|
|
|
|
convention
is to have 3 fields of range 0..255 to hold the
|
|
|
|
colour
information.
