Sincere thanks to Sally for accepting me onto the Disciplinary Commons project, and before that the BRACE project. She is a tireless leader and creator. Especial thanks of course for the lapsang souchong and introducing me to the wonders of the Burrough markets.

Particular thanks also to Jim Bown for putting up with me on our travels up and down the country - a rich source of ideas and reflections as we gabbed away half awake or half drunk - well, a lot more of the former than the latter!

And of course thanks to all of us on the project - a sea of strange folk at the start, but a confusion (what is the collective?) of colleagues by the end.
